How we source and check

This guide is independent. It is not owned by, paid by or affiliated with any developer, agent, broker or portal. It does not sell property and does not pass questions to anyone.

Where figures come from

  • Official first. Developer announcements, government media offices and regulator inspection reports are used for construction progress, contracts and launch details.
  • Transaction data next. Dubai Land Department data and portals that publish it, such as Property Finder, are used for sales and prices.
  • Research houses and press. Savills, CBRE, Knight Frank, Betterhomes, Huspy and the UAE press are used for market context, always named.
  • Agency marketing is labelled. Claims from agents or sponsored content are not used as fact. Where one is quoted, it is marked as a claim.

How often we check

  • Daily: developer announcements, regulator progress page, government media, latest Palm Jebel Ali transactions and press headlines.
  • Weekly: Dubai Land Department weekly numbers, asking prices and contract awards.
  • Monthly: monthly market reports and any new regulator inspections.
  • Quarterly: Savills, CBRE, Knight Frank, Betterhomes and other research houses, in the weeks after each quarter ends.

"Checked" on a figure means we looked for something newer on that date. Official construction figures are published about monthly, so a reading may be several weeks old. Its own date is always shown.

How we verify

  • A figure is published only with a named source and a date.
  • Construction percentages, handover dates and developer claims are checked by a person before they go live.
  • When sources disagree, we use the official one and say so.
  • Figures from different periods or definitions are not added together.

Corrections

If you spot an error, use the question form on the home page. Corrections are made as soon as they are confirmed and noted in the Latest feed.
